Vintage Tomesode(留袖) Front Slit Maxi Dress

I got this vintage kimono at a very good bargain.

This symmetry print and red lining shows it's really vintage.

Also very good condition and vivid print.

Of course it's silk material.

It has 5 prints crests so most elegant style of kimono.

The 2pair of cranes shows this kimono once worn for a bride.

And the print means become a happily married couple.

Black and Red makes a beautiful contrast to this design.

But hard to see only torso photos.

Bustier style with elastic on the back.

Font slit with long back train silhouette.

It's sexy isn't it??

I stitched from front slit to the all hem line.

The 2crests on the back hem train.

The crest design is the same as my family's by accidentally.

 Let's check the meaning of family crests sometime.(KAMON)

ヴィンテージ留袖　フロントスリット　マキシドレス

着物を解くのに躊躇しない程度の値段で手に入れたヴィンテージのお着物。

左右対称になった大胆な柄と朱赤の裏地がついているものを手に入れるのは難しい。

汚れもなく、鮮やかな色合いで状態も良かった。

もちろん絹生地で。

このお着物は５つの家紋が入っているもっともフォーマルなもの。

２羽のつがいの鶴が描かれているのは花嫁さんの婚礼衣装の証。

生涯同じ伴侶と添い遂げる鶴は夫婦円満の象徴としてとても縁起の良いものとされている。

なによりも黒と赤のコントラストを上手く出すことが出来てよかった☆（先日、母の友人が絶賛してくれた）

ただ、トルソーに着せただけだと動きが出ないのでなかなか伝わりきらないものがある。

人間が着て動いてみると全然違う。

やっぱりお洋服は人に着てもらわないとね❤

デザインとしては後ろにしっかりゴムを入れてビスチェが落ちてこないように、

前裾には深いスリットを入れて、後ろは少しトレーンをひくようにしてみた。

前のスリットから見える朱赤が結構セクシーでしょ？？

スリットから裾にかけてぐるっと１周、チクチクと絹糸を使ってハンドステッチ。

生地が厚くて、目が細かいのでマメができた。。

最後に後ろ裾のところに袖部分の家紋が入って目の様。

たまたまウチの家紋と一緒の『重ね茗荷』だった。

家紋も興味あるので、また調べてみることにしよう。
